C4 Panela: Organic Unrefined Raw Whole Sugar
Norandino is an association of small-scale food producers in northern Peru. Its members experience many benefits including better prices, lower credit rates, enhanced product quality, training, financial risk reduction and development projects.
Panela it is a product obtained by evaporation, concentration and crystallization of juice from sugar cane. Sugar consists of a mixture of crystals of sucrose and reducing sugars (molasses).
Organic raw panela offers unmatched nutritional value and flavour compared with raw sugar or white sugar as the molasses is not separated from the sugar mass during processing. Panela is used as a sweetener and to enhance the flavour of coffee, as well as sweet or savoury dishes.
Panela sugar is rich and sweet, with smoky, fruity, toffee notes.
